5G can be up to thirty times faster than public wifi
For years, uses were looking for a public wifi hotspot to connect at the first opportunity, under the assumption it was faster than cellular connections. The perception, though, is expected to change according to an Opensignal analysis in the US.
The company notes that with the use of the most common 5G technology (i.e. with the use of frequency bands under 6 GHz) users can experience download speeds of 63.9 Mbps, three times faster than the speeds offered by wifi hotspots.
